Peter began his career in Big Four audit before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. He gained post-qualification experience in taxation and insolvency before deciding to deploy his skills in commerce.

Since then, Peter has served as Founder, Finance Director, and CFO in sectors ranging from tech and insurance to not-for-profit. He enjoys supporting SMEs that are innovative and looking to change the status quo—businesses that reflect his own entrepreneurial spirit.

Pragmatic and calm, Peter focuses on the fundamentals that matter most: business plans, financial systems, logistics and compliance, and strategic reporting. He reassures leaders with seasoned insight, helping them manage challenges confidently and move forward with clarity.

Initial situation

An innovative real-time consumer data startup was seeking leadership on all fronts – financial, legal, people, compliance – and needed significant external funding to achieve its growth goals.

Action and result

As a co-founder, Peter took responsibility for the company’s Finance and other critical functions, enabling the business to close £16 million in private and venture capital investment and establish itself successfully in the US and European market.

A keen choral singer, Peter combined his love of music and his financial skills to become a Trustee and sometime Treasurer of the New London Chamber Choir, where he also served for several years as Chair of its Executive Committee. Gardening, cycling, good food and wine also occupy Peter’s time outside work, and he enjoys reading literature in several languages.

Watching his sons play cricket has in recent years provided an opportunity to launch a weekend career as cricket scorer and sometime umpire.
