EFM is delighted to welcome on board a new Finance Director and a CEO of EFM Scotland – Adair Simpson

About Adair…

Adair Simpson EFM Finance Director

Adair is the Founder and CEO of EFM Scotland and as a chartered accountant he has amassed a vast experience in all areas of finance and commerce, as well as having significant experience in executive management & leadership roles. Adair is passionate about not only improving the financial viability of an organisation but also operational efficiency, growth and establishing a culture of ownership and accountability.

Having held executive roles in some of the UK’s largest and fastest growing organisations as well as a number of international roles, Adair identified the need for Finance to move away from a stereotypical historic statutory focus to that of a support and enabling function that puts much more emphasis on future events and embeds the finance function at the heart of the organisations operations.

His experiences to date have seen him take on a wide variety of roles covering:

• Rapid growth and start up companies
Business Turnarounds
• Raising funds via PE/VC and debt
• ERP design and implementation
• Business consolidation and restructuring

Adair looks to get companies to a state of readiness (whatever that may be) by partnering the business and working with them and their stakeholders on their journey.

When I shared my views and ambitions with them, well the rest is history… Within the space of a month of that first meeting EFM Financial Management (Scotland) Ltd was created, we opened our first office North of the border and have already landed a number of clients and gone through a recruitment drive!. The office opening in Dundee was probably the moment my dream was coming to fruition, everything felt that little bit more substantial…”
