Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY and after a couple of years post qualification experience left to work at BNP Paribas in Equity Derivatives and Risk. Following Paribas, Ian continued to work in investment banking at Bankers Trust and then Deutsche Bank becoming a Director in the Treasury Team.
After 12 years at Deutsche, Ian left to form his own consultancy company and over the next 12 years worked with clients such as Barclays Capital, RBS and National Australia Bank.
He also worked as a part time CFO at Mineral exploration company Horizonte Minerals Plc which he helped float on the AIM market as well as Silvrex Ltd, another mineral exploration company which was eventually sold to an AIM-listed company.
Ian has also been involved in a number of start-ups being a founder member of two investment companies and a property company as well as his own consultancy business.
He gained some Corporate Treasury experience managing cash flow and banking relationships working for two years on an assignment for Newday Cards Ltd, a large private equity owned company.
Ian is very experienced in providing management information, corporate governance and KPIs.
